Jim is a Coordinator of Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug Prevention at the San Diego County Office of Education. He and the Office strives to inspire and lead innovation in education and aims to reduce the percentage of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch as part of a larger effort to elevate the needs of historically underserved students and families. Jim is also Certified Prevention Specialist from the Center for Applied Prevention Technology. He is looking forward to learning from the Center and the partner agencies, as well as the collaboration in order to advance effective tobacco free policies. In his free time, you can find Jim bowling, spending time outdoors with family, and watching sports – especially the Padres and the Dallas Cowboys.
