Anna is an Associate Vice Provost and Professor of Psychological Sciences in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts at the University of California, Merced and the Director of the Nicotine & Cannabis Policy Center. She specializes in health psychology and factors that influence young adults’ beliefs about risk behaviors, including smoking. Anna earned her PhD in Personality Psychology at the University of California, Davis and completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She is excited to bring perspectives from under-resourced areas, like the Central Valley, to the Policy Center. In her free time, Anna enjoys hiking.
