Patrick is the Coordinator of the Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) in the San Diego Unified School District. The TUPE Program, funded by the TUPE Grant, is designed to raise awareness about the harmful physical, social, and environmental effects of tobacco use among our youth population. Patrick serves as a school counselor, supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional growth. He is looking forward to contributing his experience from K-12 education to the Center, specifically related to the impact of vaping on students’ health and well-being. He is excited to collaborate with researchers, policymakers, and community organizers to develop evidence-based strategies that address vaping prevention, intervention, and policy implementation in schools and communities. In his free time, Patrick coaches badminton at a local high school.
