We invite students, researchers, advocates, and other stakeholders to submit abstracts for poster presentations highlighting emerging research findings, community activities, and policy efforts related to the impact of commercial tobacco use on indoor and outdoor environments.
The deadline to submit an abstract for consideration is Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 (5:00 pm PT). Submissions will be reviewed as received. Authors will be notified by Monday, May 5th if their abstract is accepted. Space is limited so do not delay!
Submission Guidelines:
Abstract: Short description of what your poster is about (no more than 400 words). If your poster describes a research study, please include background, methods, results, and discussion sections. If your poster describes an intervention, activity, or project, please include a statement of the problem, what you hoped to accomplish, what you did, and a description of successes/challenges.
Authors: Posters may have more than 1 author. At least 1 author must attend the Symposium, set up the poster by 8:30 am at the Southeastern Live Well Center, and be present to discuss the poster with attendees from 11:00-12:00 pm. Authors may be from academic institutions and/or community groups.
Size: Posters will be displayed on easels. Easels will be provided. Due to space limitations, posters should be no more than 4 feet wide.
