Carlos earned his BA in Sociology and Chicano/a Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Before joining SAY San Diego and the Policy Research Center as a Program Manager, Carlos was a mentor volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles. He is excited to work with the Center to collaborate with community members and government and business leaders to promote public health awareness through evidence-based policy initiatives. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys attending any live sport game, going on spontaneous trips with his family, trying new cuisines, and spending time with his 1-year-old son.
