Gianna is the Communication Specialist for the Center for Tobacco and the Environment and its affiliated centers. She helps turn scientific research into digestible, engaging content for the general public while spreading education about tobacco, the environment, and thirdhand smoke. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in Communication. In addition to her role at the Center, she teaches public speaking at San Diego State University and at a local community college, helping students sharpen their communication and presentation skills. Passionate about health communication and community impact, she is committed to making a positive difference locally and beyond. When she’s not working or teaching, you can find her cooking, discovering new restaurants in San Diego, or outside running, biking, or enjoying all of the natural beauty that San Diego has to offer.
